About Me

Your Mental Health Matters Take the First Step Today

Welcome to Pendulum psychiatry, your gateway to mental wellness. It is time to bring the negative stigma of seeking help for mental health issues to an end. It is a stigma when a person with mental illness is mocked or called weak for seeking help. Black Americans are less likely to seek mental health care. Statistics tell us that about 25% of African Americans seek mental health treatment, compared to 40% of white Americans. For black men the numbers are even less.

Seeking help from a culturally competent provider can assist with managing and overcoming these effects. At Pendulum Psychiatry we aim to provide a safe, welcoming space for people of color seeking medication management and therapy. Although our target population are people of color, we do not discriminate based on color, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious affiliations.
